A journey of a thousand miles...

Or so the saying goes. The first step is one of the most important. Admitting that there's a problem and committing to the work required to fix it. Well today's the day I take that first step. It definitely is a doozy.
For years I have known that my family has had debt. For months I have known just how much debt we have. For the past few weeks I have been tirelessly searching for the best ways to rid ourselves of this burden. Today, I take the first step. Today, my family makes the commitment to make a long overdue lifestyle change. Today we start securing our financial future.
It has taken us years to get to where we are today (which, by the way, is staring at a mountain of debt) and it will take us years to get to where we want to be. It won't happen overnight, but today, we begin.
